General help
The MGC Chatbox Evo is really easy to use

You can :
  1. Send chats : you just have to enter the text in the dedicated input field and then to validate it by pushing the return key ou by clicking on the OK button.
  2. Format the chats :
    3. once you un-collapse the chatbox formatting toolbar by clicking on the BBCode button, you have access to different formatting options for your chats. You can format a chat by selecting a part (or the totality) of it and then select one of the buttons/list. You can also add empty formatting tags by selecting nothing and clicking one of the buttons/menu thus allowing you to add the chat text afterwards between these tags.*
  3. Access to the different channels : you can have access to different channels restricted to only some usergroupds or for specifics use of the chatbox. The different channels are accessible from the buttons on the left of the chatbox.*
  4. Edit your chats (or others chats) : the edition of a chat can be done by a simple double-click on it.*
  5. Use specific commands : some commands can be accessible in the chatbox depending on the will of the administrator(s) of your forum. These commands let you execute specific actions of formatting, management, etc... You will herebelow the information on the command which are accessible to you. You must notice that you are not forced to use the command prefixes (/command_name) when you use them in the channel they are attached to (except in the general channel).*

How do I create a Section?

To create a new section, you need to have access to the Admin Control Panel. Once logged into the Admin Control Panel go to vBulletin CMS -> Section Manager in the left navigation.

How do I rename a Section?

You can rename a section in the user visible site portion of your vBulletin community if you have the proper permissions.
  1. Click on the HOME tab if you are not already in the vBulletin CMS section.
  2. Navigate to the section you want to edit the name of.
  3. Hover over the header. A pencil icon should appear.

  5. In the section editor, clear the "Name:" text box in the "Section Information" section.

  6. Enter the new name for the section in the clear text box.
  7. Update the SEO URL Alias and HTML Title Fields as necessary
  8. Click Save

How do I change the Content Display Order for a Section?

  1. Click on the HOME tab if you are not already in the vBulletin CMS section.
  2. Navigate to the section you want to change the "Content Display Order" for.
  3. Hover over the header. A pencil icon should appear.

  5. In the section editor, select the option you desire from the "Display Order" dropdown list found in the "Section Information" section of the form.

How do I change the number of articles per page?

  1. Click on the Home tab if you are not already in the vBulletin CMS section.
  2. Navigate to the section you want to change.
  3. Hover over the header. A pencil icon should appear.

  5. In the section editor, enter the number of articles you wish to display in the "Per Page" textbox.

What is the difference between a style, a layout and a content layout?

The style controls how a section looks from the font size to the background color. The layout controls where each element (ex: navigation bar, article list, links, and feeds) is placed. Lastly, the content layout controls how articles are organized within a section.

How do I change the layout of a Section?

  1. Click on the Home tab if you are not already in the vBulletin CMS portion of the site.
  2. Navigate to the section you want to change the layout for.
  3. Hover over the header. A pencil icon should appear.

How do I change the style for a Section?

Search FAQ

Select this option if you would like your search to look in the text of FAQ items as well as their titles.

Select an option here to specify how you would like your search query to be treated. 'Any words' will return the most numerous but possibly least relevant results, while 'Complete phrase' will return only results that contain exactly what you are searching for.
