"The Art Of War" by Sun Tzu its a very short read. But if you have not read it and are into military strategy- Do so.

Idk book wise but when i was studying philosophy i always liked researching the story of Socrates. And Platos Allegory of the Cave is a good sample to look at.

I read all kinds of stuff. *Don't know if any of these classify as something you would read, but I really enjoyed The Four Agreements, Awakening to Zen, Celestine Prophecy.

My fav outta those is The Four Agreements.

Re: Know of a GREAT BOOK?

Those are great historic books. But if you are looking for something that is recent that is fun to read I would suggest an author rather then the book. His name is Ted Bell. He writes similarly to Tom Clancy but his novels always climax on each chapter and leave you begging for more. He has 3 books in a series so far with a main character named Alex Hawke. He is a Former Military military man( their form of the SEALs, not sure what the name is), he is wealthy because he is a descendant of a great Pirate. Anyway the books are always great reads and very hard to put down after you get started. He is going to have another book out this coming summer. His previous books were: 1st Assassin, 2nd Pirate, and Spy. They all have realistic scenarios and like I said is fun to read. I would suggest it highly.

Re: Know of a GREAT BOOK?

Junk, haven't really been on much to much in a long time. Should be tonight though.

A great book that isn't really philosophy is Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison. It's a VERY good book about life. It's all like hidden meaning though if that's what you are into. It's my favorite book and I think it would be a good book for you to read related to views and life in African American history I guess you could say but at the same time just a good book about life and finding out meaning in life. Great story with a ton of meaning.
