I mentioned it because it's a game that was brought over to consoles but was so watered down and didn't feel like a real civ game.

Do you play Civ 4.? (I haven't played in a year or so)

I liked the Xbox version of Civ, it was easier for my little brain to handle.. and even then its a bit too much for me at times. I get really lost in the PC version, but its fun. lol

Hell yeah I'll mark it on my calendar. I used to play civ 3 but kinda got away from pc gaming. It's time to make a come back I recently built a pretty beastly new machine and I'm ready to rock. Probably the biggest thing that killed it for me on the console was the shortened down game times. Everything was designed to only last about an hour so by the time you really started to get your civ built up the game would be ending. I missed the fine tuning of your civ and having massive battles with multiple other civs. It does have a pretty steep learning curve but that's part of the fun.

Whats this "slim" xbox.?
The new 250gb one doesn't seem slim, or is there another one.?

the 250 is the slim, i guess they call it slim cause next to the other one this one is smaller? i like the look of it might get one later in the future.

I will say that Medal of Honor is amazing as well and Activision only had private meeting rooms this year and basically told us to not bother with them... whole other story there.

We had a great time with Dice and EA though in the Medal of Honor Multiplayer room where one of our own "Owned" the Dev team and got awarded some Special Edition Oakley Sunglasses

We were not invited to the Microsoft Press conference unlike the others so we found out after the fact...

It is nice to see that XBox is two steps closer to PS3 by adding built in wireless and a slim model... its a shame that seem to stay behind... even Wiintendo release a 3DS...

So when did 3D become the benchmark of online gaming? 3D is a fad. It always has been and always will be. 3D is nothing but a gimmick.

I don't see how they seem to stay behind because they decide to do a little something called Kinect instead of support 3D. Looks like everyone is forgetting how much more the 360 offers than any other console on the market. Even though the PS3 is now catching up to the 360 (it took them long enough), the 360 easily sets the bar when it comes to added services to the 360. Everything is better on the 360 than it is on the PS3. The 360 seems to keep adding more to their Gold service, while Playstation Plus is Sony's ATTEMPT at following 360's footsteps.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't get a boner when people mention 3D. 3D is just going to be another one of those things that try to make shitty games look better since everyone will be all hyped by 3D. I'm glad Microsoft decided not to follow the tracks of the others and decided to go even further with Kinect.

I don't believe this version of 3d is a fad. Previous versions of 3d have been limited by the technology but the tech has come a long long way. The version of 3d (real 3d) that they are pawning off in most theaters these days isn't true 3d. If you don't have the shutter glasses your not seeing the best of what you can see. This and 3d on large tv's in hd is where things are going and people are buying the products so it will continue on. Espn is in on it now with a 3d channel and broadcasting the world cup and will be broadcasting football games on it. The only drawback right now is it is still pretty pricey

Those screens are 23.6" a piece adding up to over 66" that you are sitting about 3~5 feet away from.

@Chili you can finish a game of civ on the console in an hour pretty easily the game is pretty much designed to work that way. Also the new Xbox has been nicknamed slim by xbox fans. That's not what microsoft calls it.

That is true, Xbox has superiority when it comes to online gaming, the xbox is so much more easy to connect to friends and much more user friendly, the layout is more open and has a much better feel. Being able to join games straight from dashboard seamlessly; so convenient. The PS3 has its perks say one were not to have friends, then they could use the internet browser for porn, and since you can't send voice messages its like retarded texting. There is so many things ive been hearing about playstation premium, it doesnt seem to appealing just another knock off product with a playstation logo.
